“To This End Shall I Live” is a research project I started in 2020, in which I seek to discover historical accounts of my ancestors: disabled people in Nebraska, between 1890-1920. Though the project is ongoing, I have turned some of my research so far into a presentation that lasts about an hour and can be presented in person or online via Zoom.
I can’t include all my research into one hour, so to supplement the presentation, I am sharing a few stories here. Read them below:
Of course I have many more stories to share, along with the process of my research, which has proved to be both fascinating and frustrating, but more expansive than I imagined when I first started. For booking information, please email needleandbow@gmail.com
