Hi, I’m Amanda and I’ve lived many past lives. In my current incarnation I am focusing on work that blends memoir and history writing. Subjects I’m currently researching include disability history, gender history, and funeral history in the Great Plains region of the United States between 1890-1920. I have a master’s degree in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Until I have more to share here, I have written two poetry books: Romancing the Gatekeeper: Love poems about death and Love Letters to the Grave Digger: Poems by a ghost. Check them out if you’d like. I hope to begin posting more blog posts soon!

And because life is too short to not have a cool leather jacket author photo, here is mine.

Sepia image of the author wearing a floral printed leather jacket, hat and bolo tie in the woods.
