Hi, I’m Amanda. Welcome to Needle & Bow where I share history and books that I love. My work combines history with storytelling and memoir. I’m currently in a rebuilding phase, organizing research and projects to share in the future.
Subjects I’m currently researching include disability history, gender history, and funeral history. I primarily focus on Nebraska and the Great Plains region of the United States between 1890-1920. My work sometimes blends history writing with memoir that recounts my own experience with disability and chronic illness.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Language Arts as well as a master’s degree in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
